About the Authors
Mike Drew
Mike leads the Global Technology & IT Services Practice based in London. During a 25-year career in executive search, Mike has supported many of the fastest-growing technology companies, at various stages of their growth journey. This includes securing winning leadership teams, either from the ground up or during times of necessary business change, when new leadership and fresh ideas were required to address evolving market challenges. Mike is the Chair of Rebus, Odgers Berndtson’s diversity programme for the technology industry, and is also the Founder of the Scale Up Collective.
Claire Stairmand
Claire joined Odgers Berndtson in 2017, starting in the Education Practice before moving into the Technology and IT Services Practice. Claire has experience working across the spectrum of the Technology ecosystem in the UK and internationally, and has developed expertise in collaborating successfully with other practices across the business.
Claire has a strong interest in high growth software disruptors, where technology intersects with other areas; successfully delivering roles in new areas, including education-technology.
John McFarland
John McFarland is a Partner in Odgers Berndtson’s Healthcare Practice. In this role, John uses his deep experiences, expertise, and relationships to help clients find the executive talent they need to achieve their business objectives.
John joins Odgers Berndtson with nearly 10 years of executive search experience. Prior to that he worked at Ernst & Young (now EY) where he consulted with healthcare organizations and gleaned a unique perspective for all aspects of the industry.
Callum Wallace
Callum Wallace is a Principal with Odgers Berndtson, based in Vancouver. He specializes in senior leadership searches across a broad range of industries and functional positions in British Columbia with expertise in the Technology, Industrial and Cleantech sectors.
Prior to joining the firm in 2018, Callum was a Consultant at Berwick Partners, a division of Odgers Berndtson in the United Kingdom, where he focused on the recruitment of senior managers within the infrastructure services and technology sectors.
Pieter Ebeling
Pieter leads the private equity and consumer practices at Odgers Berndtson in the Netherlands. He helps clients realise their strategic goals by connecting them with the best leaders and supporting them to shape effective leadership teams. Leaders that will add value to the overall strategy and mission of a business. He is also an experienced leadership consultant who analyses profiles of current and future leaders - individually and as a leadership team - providing valuable leadership insights.
Andie Rees
Andie Rees is the Managing Partner of the Technology Practice across Asia Pacific for Odgers Berndtson. Specialising in executive/leadership appointments where regional scale-up and/or an organisational pivot requires Leadership Evolution for the next stage of a company’s value creation journey. Andie has spent over 35 years in sales and General Management leadership positions for Technology and Software companies both in EMEA and Asia Pacific.
David Bell
David is an experienced international Headhunter and Talent Advisor within the Technology space focusing on commercial and technical leadership. He majors in FinTech and HealthTech and has a substantial track record with early stage (Founder-led/VC backed) and PE backed Scale and Growth businesses. David is focused on building out the Scale Up Collective within the Global Technology Practice, and will also continue his commitment to DE&I and Sustainability focused technology clients.
